The BCYS Mission Statement
The Birmingham Catholic Youth Service seeks to understand, encourage and empower young people in their search for meaning in life, to respond to the invitation of Jesus Christ to wholeness, friendship and community.
We aim to achieve our mission by working with 11-25 year olds across our Archdiocese. We provide training and support for parishes that have, or are looking to start a youth group. We organise events, retreats and pilgrimages, locally and Diocesan wide. We also provide opportunities for young adults and run young leader training for teenagers.
This website is designed to keep you informed about our current events as well as reporting on past events and signposting resources and other opportunities.
The
News page will give you a flavour of what’s happening, also see the various links or menu on the left for more detailed information.
For information about our team, and how to get in touch, check out the
Meet the Team page.
If you have any comments about this website, or the work of the Birmingham Catholic Youth Service, please get in touch.
Safe working with young people
In accordance with good practice for safe working with children and young people, all BCYS staff are CRB checked receive appropriate training. We undertake risk assessments for all our events and trips, and these can be viewed on request.
