The BCYS Team Mission Statement

Sarah Crowley - Worcestershire

Sarah covers the Worcester and Kidderminster deaneries. A mad-hatter in the most literal sense, she is also a milliner, and can always be counted on for being the member of the team who has an original and creative way of delivering our youth work. Sarah is a lay member of the Maltfriscan community.

Maria Bracken- Coventry & Warwickshire

Maria covers the Coventry, Warwick and Rugby deaneries. She is married to Tom and they have a son called Joseph. She is a qualified youth worker and the longest serving member of the team and has seen BCYS grow considerably since she first took up her post. Maria has an obsessive love of dolphins and enjoys playing fiddle at traditional music sessions. She is another member of the team who is a lay member of the Maltfriscan Community.

Marie Nicklin- Birmingham

Marie is responsible for the 4 Deaneries in Birmingham . She previously worked at Alton Castle where she was programme leader for 4 years. Marie is married to Pete and they have 2 children. She enjoys swimming and other mild forms of exercise; she is a keen singer and plays guitar. She supports Leicester City especially when they are doing well, so it doesn't take up that much time really!.

Peter Lucas-Staffordshire

Peter lives in Kingsley in the North of the County, near to Cheadle, home to St Giles Church, known as 'Pugin's Gem', where he grew up and has worshipped all his life, along with his family. Peter has a brother and sister, 8 nephews and nieces and 2 great nephews .His mother Cath, has been a life long stalwart of the Catholic Women's League.

Claire Swaffield - Black Country

Claire is responsible for Wolverhampton & the Black Country and is based in her home parish of Our Lady's & All Saints, Stourbridge. Claire has a varied career background, with a wealth of experience from psychology & education, to business development and make up artist. Claire loves travel, music and sports including sailing, skiing, mountain biking and the gym. Claire is keen to develop youth provision for young people in her area, with a particular focus on those aged 14+.

Jackie Craig- Office Manager

Jackie works in the main office two days a week. She is a huge asset to the team and often works beyond the call of duty at many of BCYS's events. She is married to David and has two children Oliver and Lucy. She lives in Fillongley, not far from our main office in Coleshill.
