St Mary's, Warwick
Saint Mary's Youth Group (SMYG) meets fortnightly on Tuesdays, from 7
till 9, at the St Mary's Social Centre which is next to the church. We
have been running for two years now. We were initially formed for the
confirmation candidates of our parish but now we are available to anyone,
from year six upwards. We take part in fundraising events in the parish
and also hold our own, created and organized by the members. We have a
very informal friendly meeting. These give the members the opportunity
to express their own feelings and discuss them with other people. We have
organized several special events, all of which have been thoroughly enjoyed
by everyone who attends. We have been on a local "hike`n`chips", been
bowling, and we have arts and crafts as well. We make Christmas decorations,
and make models using all sorts of different materials. We also slept
in cardboard boxes and raised money for the homeless as one of our events
and we all had a very good time. We are hoping to organize a trip to laser
quest in the near future. For any further information contact: Dave Prescott
