7 new leaders have just completed the Bethsaida course, and they are now planning to launch their new youth group. Please keep an eye on this website, and also parish/school newsletters. If you are an adult in the parish, and think you can help, please contact Fr Michael or myself.

St Mary's Norton
This group has been closed for a while, but is hoping to re-start very soon. For more details please contact Lorraine on 01782 818304.

Holy Trinity, Newcastle
Possibly the longest running youth group in Staffordshire. The group has met every Sunday after the evening Mass for many years. We are currently looking to re-launch the youth group, and need new leaders to help us. If you are interested, please contact Fr Philip on 01782 616483.

Our Lady of Lourdes, Hednesford
A new group has started in the Stafford Deanery. This is for Yr5+, and meets fortnightly on a Thursday evening between 7& 8.30pm. More leaders are desperately needed, so if you think you can help call Sean Corbett on 07966 448907

English Martyrs, Biddulph
After a short period of inactivity, this group is looking to restart, and is in desperate need of new leaders. If you think you could help contact Andy (520047) or Colette (518107).

St Augustine's, Meir
This is a brand new group for Yr4-8. It meets every Tuesday between 6.30-8pm in the primary school. There will en activites such as games, arts & cratfs, as well as having speakers, maybe going on trips, and importantly space to have time with your friends. CymFED conference
This is an organisation that exists to help shape and support Catholic Youth Ministry in England and Wales.
They are organising a national conference in London designed to inspire and support all those looking to connect young people with the Church - Youth leaders, Parish Volunteers, Chaplains, Catechists and Priests. The speakers really are the best in the field and include; Bob and Maggie McCarty, Fr Timothy Radcliffe, Abbot Christopher Jamison, OSB, David Wells and Vincent Nichols, Archbishop of Westminster.
If we could get enough of us together to go along we could make a block booking, and organise transport as well.
Either take a coach, mini bus or a make block booking on the train.
I would like to know what initial interest there might be, then I can look into making arrangements. You never know, your parish priest might even like to pay for you to go! For further information have a look at http://www.cymfed.org/

Bethsaida Training
Could your parish youth leaders benefit from training? Are you looking to start a new youth group in your parish? Please contact me

What's going on in your youth group?
Let me have any articles and photographs,
I will try to include them on this page.

Chase Catholics
Christopher Wilson from St Mary's Parish Cannock,
has felt inspired to 'gather' together individuals (and couples) who would classify as 'young adults' (18-30ish) and has created a facebook site called
'Chase Catholics' which people can find by searching for it within the website.
At the moment Chris is trying to generate interest and would appreciate any advice or comments concerning the engagement of young Catholic adults together in our area.

Project 2030 -
connecting Catholics spiritually & socially.
Project 2030 is a Catholic organisation sponsored by the Sacred Heart Fathers (Dehonian's) that organises and facilitates pilgrimages, trips and socials for young adults aged 20-30 (twentysomethings) and 30-40 (thirtysomethings).
The group is run by its members for its members so activities are kept fresh and new.
Each area has a diary secretary that puts together the calendar and co-ordinates activities.
So ... If you would like to organise an event tell them and they will advertise it. Newsletters are published every couple of months.
Have a look at www.twentysomethings.eu
