RE:ACT
Youth Festival
It was great to see so many young people form Worcestershire -at the RE:ACT
festival.
Highlight for me: -
worship led by the Soli House band, the murmur
of voices as 300+ people
settling down for the night
in tents on the lawn at
Oscott College.
Doing arts workshops for
130 people!!!!!
A field full of priest hearing confessions into the night
while the band Crossbeam
played in the main marquee.
Lourdes
Diocesan Pilgrimage 2009
We had an
amazing experience in Lourdes this year.
There were over 350 young people in the pilgrimage; school groups, youth
groups, the Soli and Alton Castle teams,
and BCYA - the new
18-25's group.
We worked hard and prayed hard but also had time
for socialising and
making new friends.
There are photos on the BCYS events page CLICK
HERE to follow the link.
If you would
like to join the pilgrimage for 2009 or to find out more please get in

Kidderminster

Five-a-side Football Tournament
We were
determined to have the tournament outside this summer after last year's
floods but gale force winds that were blowing the goalposts over sent
us inside again!! Never the less the tournament was brilliant with a really
high standard of football being shown. The shield was won by St Ambrose
parish, Kidderminster who were commended by the refs on their great performance.
For this tournament we had a BBQ, which was enjoyed by all - especially
Pete!!

The next
tournament is November 2008
at Winterfold House School, Chaddesley Corbett,
and Nr Kidderminster.
Keep an eye out for the date
Alton Castle
Next Alton Castle weekend
June 5th - 7th 2009
