Catholic Youth Ministry Development Worker
The Kenelm Trust (BCYS) are seeking to appoint a new ‘Catholic Youth Ministry Development Worker’ to support work with young people aged 11 – 25, within the 3 Deaneries of Staffordshire.
Salary: £18,500 - £22,000 pro-rata (based on 40 hours per week) dependent on experience and qualifications.
This post will be 32 hours per week to include evenings and weekends, and will be based at Alton Castle.
A relevant professional qualification is desirable.
This position will develop the key goals of Catholic youth ministry through facilitating parishes to develop new models of ministry and supporting existing groups and youth work.

SUMMER CAMP 2013 - A FEARLESS ADVENTURE!
During the summer of 2013 Keep Calm and Be Fearless!
Join other young Catholics for our exciting Summer Camp where we will discover how to have a Fearless Faith!
Young people are being invited to attend in parish-based groups with their youth leader, or other supervisory adult for what will truly be a life-changing experience.
With the support of Life Teen, our diocesan youth services are combining to offer a camp like no-other. Prayerful exploration of the sacraments, inspirational talks and workshops, exciting activities and bucket-loads of fun are all promised as well as the opportunity to meet other young people from our diocese.
Booking cost also includes a ticket for our day trip to the near-by Alton Towers theme park. Accommodation will be in the spectacular Alton Castle building, and all meals are provided. Download our

Unfortunately this event had to be cancelled at the last minute due to the extreme weather conditions. A really excellent day had been planned, and we are hopeful that a new date can be found later in the year.

Pope Benedict XVI announced at the Final Mass, before millions of young pilgrims at the military airbase of Cuatro Vientos in Madrid that Rio de Janeiro will host the next World Youth Day in 2013.

In accordance with good practice for safe working with children and young people, all BCYS staff are CRB checked receive appropriate training. We undertake risk assessments for all our events and trips, and these can be viewed on request.
